Weight Loss Surgery Informational Seminars

The seminars are held monthly to inform patients about the process of a bariatric surgery. The topics covered during this time are:

• Determining if a potential patient qualifies for bariatric surgery.

  • Lap Band
• How does the surgery work?
• The potential risks and complications associated with the surgery.
• Dietary changes
• The program offered at Surgical Weight Management Center.
• The insurance process.
• The psychological aspect of the surgery

NO Charge to attend. Seating is limited. Registration is required. Meetings begin at 5:30 PM

Seminar Location: Classroom - 1st floor - Hamilton Medical Building - Congress Street access (on hospital campus). Other seminars held quarterly in Alexandria.
